Research

The European GRB RTN researches gamma-ray bursts and their afterglows in various ways, both theoretically and observationally. We model the core-collapse of massive stars, as well as the physics of the blastwave causing the afterglow. Observationally, we use various telescopes around the world to observe the afterglows, as well as X-ray and gamma-ray satellites to observe the afterglow and GRB itself. The RTN is also involved in the development of instruments for high-energy satellites.

etc etc.

A detailed overview can be found at the pages of the various research groups in the RTN
